You're not the only one experiencing this, believe us. This retreat is not for everyone. It's for those who feel attracted to it, and not for those who aren't. Very often you will feel called to something in life, but your friends or parents don't at all.
People who join us are mainly people who like to learn and grow, are engaged in their spiritual or personal development and motivated to become the best version of themselves.
This is simply not true for everyone. There's a chance that your friends or parents (who come from a different generation where personal development and spirituality were not that normal as nowadays, or were even a taboo subject) will not understand why you would participate in a retreat.
Therefore, comments like: "You don't need that", "Are you going to be one of those people?" or "You don't seem like the type of person who'd do something like that" are understandable and totally okay. People often don't like chance, and those around us often don't like us to chance.
The thing is that it doesn't matter what your family and friends think about the way you live your life. What matters is how you feel about it. It's about you doing what makes you happy and feel fulfilled.
Research shows that the number one thing people regret on their deathbeds, is wishing they lived their own life and cared less about what others think. Don't be one of them 🙂 you have a beautiful life to live, please follow the call of your heart.
And if your parents would like to call with us to ask their questions or to get to know us, they are more than welcome. Send an email to info@ and we'll schedule a phone conversation.
PS. Fun fact: there have been several parents who joined the Inner Beauty Retreat after their son or daughter came home excited, and it strengthened their bond massively!
